In the past Australian based Kieran Moore Bloodstock (est 1981) 
and New Zealand based Bruce Perry Bloodstock (est 1987) have
worked closely together in purchasing horses but under their individual company names. Tasman Bloodstock was formed 
with the aim of establishing an Internationally renowned company specialising in securing quality bloodstock globally under which 
both Bruce Perry Bloodstock and Kieran Moore Bloodstock 
will buy under when attending sales outside Australia and New Zealand.  

The effects of the merger were evident at the recent 2006 
Tattersalls December Mares Sale where Tasman Bloodstock 
debuted on the international scene. By the end of the sale they 
were the eighth leading purchaser on what was a record 
International sale. In all Tasman Bloodstock purchased thirteen 
lots for a total in excess of $Aus 4 million.
